This is my friend Dr. Morbito´s work, am so freakin amazed by the whole concept of his latest pieces…He´s a one man army i tell you.

Here in Mexico we don´t have super heroes, we have Luchadores (Masked Wrestlers), and pop culture in general has absorbed these characters and now they are  so popular around the world, that one immediately knows these masked wrestlers come from Mexico.

They are now so popular that mainstream has propelled them into super stardom, so much that in these pieces Dr. Morbito portraits luchadores as religious, tormented and miraculous idols. Idols that a whole country worships.
